Volunteer Opportunities with JRS Ireland

Want to make a real difference to the lives of asylum seeks and their families in Ireland?  JRS Ireland is now recruiting volunteers for our homework and literacy club in Clondalkin Towers.

Serving the needs of the children of asylum seekers living in direct provision accommodation in Clondalkin, the JRS Ireland homework and literacy club runs every Tuesday afternoon. 

Volunteers are now needed to support the running of the club during the 2014-2015 academic year.

Volunteers with teacher training or experience of working with children are particularly welcome as the role(s) requires volunteers to: 

• Provide reading support to senior infants.
• Assist primary school children with their homework.
• Participate in basic arts & crafts and the playing of games.
