In addition to the free resources that JRS Ireland produced in consultation with inner city schools, we deliver tailored information workshops to teachers and other personnel and provide school speakers on request.
Our school resource folder was developed in consultation with schools in the inner city in response to increased diversity in schools in Dublin and throughout Ireland. The purpose of the resources is to provide a practical toolkit for teachers of refugee and migrant children. Please visit our Resource Centre to access letter templates, country data and other useful information.
JRS Ireland also produces an Intercultural and Interfaith Calendar each year. The calendar is aimed at raising awareness of diversity in Ireland, and each month it highlights religious feast days from different faiths, national days, international UN celebrations and bank holidays in the Republic of Ireland.
Please contact us to order a copy of Intercultural and Interfaith Calendar for your school.
Information Sessions for Teachers and Students
A series of information seminars and workshops has been developed that aim to support teachers, principals and other school personnel in meeting the challenges of working in an ethnically and culturally diverse school environment.
JRS Ireland provides speakers for primary and secondary school classes on a range of issues including forced migration, interculturalism and the experience of asylum seekers in Ireland. Please contact us to book a free visit to your school.
